KumeFloat is a float and cryotherapy spa at 584 Grand Avenue by Lake Merritt in Oakland. Besides salt-water float tanks and whole-body cryotherapy, it runs a Sauna Cocoon Pod: guests lie on a contoured massage bed while dry or infrared heat builds a 30-minute thermal session, with cool aromatherapy salt air on the face and a vibrating massage function. A 30-minute pod session costs $60, or $45 for members, and the spa is open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM.
