The Schvitz

The Schvitz is Detroit's original urban bathhouse, open to guests since 1930 and the only historic bathhouse left in the city. A $40 day pass covers both saunas, heated to 180–200°F, the cold pool, showers, common areas and the outdoor patio, with towels and a locker included. Walk-ins only; no memberships. The week alternates all-gender, men-only and women-only sessions, and Saturday evenings are reserved for private parties. A house kitchen serves food daily.
